Blade Runner: Black Lotus - Anime Review
My main draw to this anime series from Netfflex, is the setting of this anime series. As I’m a big fan of the live action movies of Blade Runner and the RPG game, the goodwill for me to complete this thirteen-episode series is strong for me. As this series is motion captured and 3D CG, the look and feel of this anime series may put people off, which it a did to me at the start of the series, but IMO the level of detail in the animation various from episode to episode. As I have completed Ghost In The Shell SAC:2045 which is another 3D CG and motion captured anime series, I can put the visuals aside if the story, characters, music and direction is solid. I personally enjoyed this series, as IMO it takes a couple of episodes to get to like the look and feel of this anime series. I liked this anime series so much, that I bought the Titan Comics TPB, which continues the adventures of Elle after this anime series. As IMO that sci-fi in anime is rare now, as it’s mainly isekai settings, manga and light novel adaptions, I thought that IMO that this anime was a breath of fresh air. The plot IMO of the series is pretty much straight forward, but the action scenes are good IMO, as there’s a sense of real-world physics when characters die in this anime series. I personally enjoyed watching this anime series a lot and enjoyed Elle’s journey.
