The Garden of Sinners Chapter 5: Paradox Spiral- Anime Review

As this movie series is a personal favourite of mine, I can’t wait to see how this approximately two-hour movie plays out. This movie follows Tomoe Enjō who stabs his parents to death, before escaping his apartment in a state of panic. After Tomoe runs away from his parent’s apartment, a homeless burglar finds his parents bodies, but to Tomoe’s surprise he finds out shockingly that his residents is in perfect health. I thought that the backstory of Tomoe’s parents was well developed in this movie, as the more that the viewer watches of this movie, the more that Tomoe’s parents loved Tomoe. I thought seeing Tomoe live with Shiki for some time was interesting. I thought that seeing Tomoe and Shiki playing house/apartment was interesting, though it’s not a romantic relationship. I thought that Mikaya was interesting in this movie, as he notices when visiting Shiki’s apartment, is that there’s now a lock on Shiki’s front door apartment.

I thought that the approximately two-hour runtime of this movie was an interesting choice, as IMO the cast gets some good character development in the longer runtime. I thought that the fight scenes in this movie where well animated, in particular the scene where Shiki is fighting the dead residents of the apartment complex. Overall, I enjoyed this movie quite a lot, and I can’t wait to watch the next movie of this movie franchise. Also I thought that the way in which Shiki asked Mikaya for keys to his place of lodging was a nice way to end this movie on a good note.
