Metallic Rouge - Anime Review

As I have been watching anime since the year 2000, I’m a big fan on the animation studio Bones. The reason why I’m a fan of studio Bones, is due to creating interesting original anime TV series. I don’t mind studio Bones doing adaptions of manga, light novels etc. As Metallic Rouge is a 25th anniversary anime original project, I was hyped for this anime original project, due to the interesting setting, and hand drawn immortal nine animation.

I thought that Metallic Rouge had good opening and closing themes, and an okay soundtrack. My favourite episode of Metallic Rouge is a tie between episode six, and episode one. As IMO Metallic Rouge had interesting gladiator designs, and that the transformations of the immortal nine were interesting and reminded me of the anime OVA series Karas.

I won’t reveal who is the main villain at the end of this series, but I thought that some of the gladiator fight scenes, had a bit of Itano circus to them. My personal view of Metallic Rouge having only 13 episodes was an interesting decision IMO, as I’m glad that Rouge Redstar didn’t have to fight one gladiator/immortal nine member every week. Overall, I thought that this anime was interesting, and I’m glad to see studio Bones try to make more new original anime IP.
