Fruits Basket: Prelude Movie - Anime Review

As I’m a big fan of the manga of Fruits Basket, I thought that this movie was utterly fantastic. As I’m a Yuki X Machi or Yukichi shipper, this movie IMO did a fantastic job of telling how Kyoko fell in love with Katsuya. The relationship of Katsuya and Kyoko is simply fantastic, and IMO well developed in this movie. There are lots of great small moments in this movie, like seeing chibi Tohru and Kyoko interacting with one another. This movie also shows how Kyo and Tohru fell in love with one another. I’m not going to spoil anything more about this movie, but the end credits scene does IMO showcase all the cast and couples that this movie is based upon. I simply give this anime movie my highest recommendation, and I would recommend this movie to fans of the manga and anime.
