Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone - Anime Review
My first experience with this anime franchise is watching the dub in the mid 1990’s, and watching it on the TV channel SBS in Australia. This movie covers the first six episodes of the original TV series, but with better animation, and characterization of the anime cast. My favourite part of this movie, was seeing the new camera angles, with better 2D and 3D CGI animation. I thought that the fanservice in this movie, recreated some of the TV series scenes classic scenes. I thought that the new scenes in this movie with Mari Illustrious Makinami in it was great, even though this movie only featured very short stills of her in the movie, and next movie teaser credits. As this movie only diverts from the first six episodes of the original Evangelion TV series a little bit, I enjoyed this movie despite this. I can’t wait to see how movie two plays out, with Asuka featuring in movie two, of Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance. I did think that when the movie credits rolled out of this movie, I did think that the ending theme song was a banger.
