Patlabor Reboot - Anime Review

As I’m a big fan of the anime franchise Patlabor, I thought that I would review this 7 minute and 50 second, anime short. This anime short is from the ‘Japan Animation Expo’ which premiered on December 5, 2016. This anime short follows three Patlabor officers in appending a HL-97 ‘Bulldog’, in Tokyo. To stop the HL-97 ‘Bulldog’ from creating more chaos in Tokyo, two armored AV-98 Ingram’s are sent to stop the destruction.

I thought that the 3CG moments IMO hold ups to this day, and I liked how the Patlabor crew stopped the HL-97 ‘Bulldog’ from causing more destruction. The blu-ray of this anime short has staff commentaries, CGI cast interviews, and trailers for this anime short. The second disk of Patlabor - Rebbot contains music from Kenji Kawai. Overall, I enjoyed this anime short, and being a big anime fan of this franchise, I can’t wait to see Patlabor EZY anime in 2026.
