Mobile Suit Gundam I - Anime Review

To be honest, I didn’t get into Gundam until late into my 20’s, though I glad that I did, as I really enjoy Gundam stories in the U.C. timeline. When this movie played out, I got curious about the Gundam franchise, when an Haro robot climb up of Amuro’s house. As I’m a fan of 2D hand drawn mecha, I thought that the scene where Amuro activates the Gundam to stand for the very first time, was simply IMO a great moment. I also thought that the Char shower scene was an interesting scene, as Macross and the Gundam franchise use the shower scene, for fanservice for the audience. This movie IMO also features the famous Bright slap to Amuro in it. I thought that the way that this movie ends, with the Zeon forces chanting Seig Zeon, was IMO a fantastic way to end this movie. Overall, I enjoyed this movie a lot, and I can’t wait to see the remaining two movies, in the Gundam trilogy movie series.
