Mobile Suit Gundam II: Soldiers of Sorrow - Anime Review

As I admit I’m a late bloomer to the Gundam franchise, I thought that this movie was solid overall. As there’s a lot happening in this movie, I thought that the scene where Sayla tries to pilot the Gundam and fails, was an important scene to Sayla’s character development. I thought that the scene where Sayla learns that Casval is her elder brother, adds to the conflict between the earth federation and the Zeon forces. I thought that the main antagonist of this movie was Ramba Ral, in his blue goaf. I thought that the scene where Amuro takes out three Dom’s was a great fighting sequence IMO.

I thought that the scene where Miharu and Ryu sneak aboard white base was a great scene IMO, as it shows that Ryu is human, and in this point in time, shows that Ryu doesn’t want to be an solider. I thought that this movie ended on the perfect good note, where white base leaves Earth for space. Overall, I thought that the cast of this movie got developed more, and I hope that the final fight between Amuro and Char is worth the hype, in the following movie.
