Batman Beyond Neo-Gothic TPB - Review

As I’m a big Batman Beyond fan, I thought that I would provide a quick review of the latest Batman Beyond TPB, from DC Comics. My first thoughts about this TPB is that I thought that the new Batman Beyond suit that Terry wears is this TPB is an interesting new look. The bat-suit that Terry wears in this TPB, has a new symbol on the front and back of the bat-suit. A new element of the bat-suit that I like is the new cape flaps, which make Batman Beyond more intimidating, then the classic Batman Beyond bat-suit. I won’t go into spoilers of the content of this TPB, but what I liked about chapter four of this TPB is the cameo classic image of Terry McGinnis being rescued by Matt Ginnis dressed as Robin, in the Batman the animated TV series style.

As this TPB story deals with magic, and Terry McGinnis being vulnerable to use magic due to having no experience in magic, I thought the appearance of John Constantine in this TPB was IMO a brilliant addition to this TPB and story. As I have read the majority of the Batman Beyond stories from DC comics, I would say John Constantine’s design in this TPB, was interesting. Overall, I enjoyed this Batman Beyond story and characters, and I hope DC continue with more Batman Beyond stories in the future, as I certainly will read them.
