Ghost in the Shell: SAC 2045: The Last Human - Anime Review

As I’m a fan of the Ghost in the Shell anime franchise, I would like to say that I enjoyed this compilation movie. This final compilation movie of the GIST SAC: 2045 tv series, has a new ending. The new ending of this compilation movie ends with a double think society, where a person’s mind has their ability not to double think. I thought that this new ending was interesting. As the first GIST SAC: 2045 compilation movie had graphic violence in it, this compilation movie is no different from the first compilation movie. There is also some nudity in this compilation movie.

I thought that the character Omoshiro, was interesting in this compilation movie, as he finally joins section 9, despite being a comedy character for the members of section 9. I thought that the action/fight scenes of this movie were very solid, as I particularly liked the action sequence involving the freeway. As Purin is a new member of section 9 in this installment of GIST SAC:2045, I thought that the plot point of making her a post human was interesting. On the subject of Purin, I thought that the flashback scene with a young Purin and Batou, was a nice character and plot element. The scene of a young Purin meeting a young and Batou at the hospital, IMO gives character depth to Purin, and the relationship that they share in this installment of GIST SAC.

Overall, I thought that this compilation movie was better than the first compilation movie. I thought that the ending scene of Motoko diving/falling into various building (like in the original Ghost in the Shell movie opening scene), was a nice touch to end the second compilation movie on.
